Associate Package to Project dialog box

Use this dialog box to associate a Rational XDE package with a Rational RequisitePro project. This association requires that you select a requirement type and document type that have been defined in the RequisitePro project. The requirement type controls the choice of attributes, such as priority or status, that you use when managing your use cases. The document type determines the template for your Word document and a default requirement type for all requirements in that document.

Values in this dialog box cannot be modified if any of the use cases within the package are associated with a requirement or document.

Note   The project path controls subsequent associations between use cases in the package. It does not affect use cases that may have been previously associated with a different project.

This dialog box contains the following fields and controls:

Project File

Displays the name of the RequisitePro project that you associate with the package.

Browse

Opens a dialog box for navigating to and selecting a RequisitePro project.

Default Document Type

Lists the available document types in the RequisitePro project.

Default Requirement Type

Lists the available requirement types in the RequisitePro project.

Path Maps

Lists the path maps (path aliases) that have been created in the XDE model if they map to the directory of the project in the Project File box. If they do, you can substitute a virtual path map, allowing other team members to access the project from their own virtual path maps to the same project directory.

Note    To define a path map in XDE, start the Rational Rose Pathmap Editor from the Windows Start menu by clicking Start > Programs > Rational XDE [version information] > Rational XDE Tools > Rational Rose Pathmap Editor.
