Associating a use case with an existing requirement
You must have "Update" permission to associate a use
case with an existing requirement.
See your Rational RequisitePro project administrator for appropriate permissions.
To associate a use case with an existing RequisitePro
requirement from Rational XDE
- Open an XDE model
that is associated with a RequisitePro project.
- In the Model Explorer or in the diagram window, select
a use case that does not have an association with RequisitePro attributes
or a document.
- Right-click RequisitePro > Associate to
RequisitePro.
The Associate Requirement to Use Case
dialog box opens.
- From the Requirements of type list, select
a requirement type
for setting attributes.
- At the Located in list, indicate whether you
want to display all requirements (all locations) in the RequisitePro project
or those in a single requirements document.
Note If the requirement
you select for the association is in a document, that document is automatically
associated with the use case.
- Select a requirement from the displayed list and
click OK.
The text of the existing requirement is changed to the name of the
use case. You can now assign attribute values to the requirement attributes.
